I have been eating keto for 10 months and couldn’t be happier. In that time, I’ve lost 72 pounds, which isn’t easy as a 56 year-old, post-menopausal woman. Now I live a Keto lifestyle (I’m not on a diet). After the first week (when willpower was really required to fight the cravings for sugar and carbs), I am able to avoid simple carbs without much effort. I enjoy eating healthier, whole foods and am able to put heavy cream in my coffee, cook my shrimp in real butter and have a glass of wine sometimes. I don’t fall asleep in the afternoon anymore, my knees feel better and my husband tells me I no longer snore like a freight train. It wasn’t easy to find a “before” picture because I avoided cameras. I’m not done losing yet and look forward to continuing my keto journey.
